Running from Sunday 23 until Sunday 30 April, Stratford Literary Festival returns with a fantastic line-up of events, ranging from talks with Mary Berry, Andrew Marr, to Horrible Histories shows and storytelling for kids, as well a large number of hands-on workshops.

Events taking place at Stratford Artshouse on World Book Night itself include Playbox Theatre’s performance of The Story of the Jaguar; best-selling author and former V&A director Sir Roy Strong in conversation about the two published volumes of his diaries; Wainwright Prize winning author John Lewis-Stemple discussing the impact of the Great War; and politician and historian Lord Roy Hattersley on the story of Britain’s and Ireland’s Catholics from the Reformation to today.
