Celebrating the centenary of Dame Muriel Spark, her long-time friend, author and journalist Alan Taylor joins Aberdeen City Libraries on World Book Night to give a special insight into the life of the beloved author. In conversation with his wife and fellow journalist Rosemary Goring, Alan will be discussing his new book ‘Appointment in Arezzo – A friendship with Muriel Spark’. Sharing intimate and funny memories of a long friendship with Muriel Spark, Alan will provide a unique, personal insight into the life and character of one of Scotland’s greatest writers.
The free hour long talk will be followed by a Q&A session and copies of Alan’s book will be available to purchase.
