You are warmly invited to our afternoon of events for World Book Night at Camberwell College of Arts. We are very pleased to be hosting poet Azad Ashim Sharma, who will be reading from his newest book ‘Against the Frame’. There will be a short question & answer session and some activities, plus a chance to take home a free book! Do bring your friends and fellow book lovers. Azad Ashim Sharma is a South London based poet, affiliated with the Brighton Underground poetry scene (Hi-Zero & Horseplay). His recent collection of poems, ‘Against the Frame’, explores the vulnerability of Azad’s own complex Islamic-Hindu hybrid identity and reflects on experiences of on-going conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. The event will be taking place in the Student Led Gallery which is just past reception on the right side. The space is wheelchair accessible.
