A relaxed, food‑themed book club for curious readers who enjoy sharing books they’ve loved and discovering new ones

If you love food; growing it, cooking it, eating it, talking about it and most importantly reading about it, then this is the Book Club for you.

Each month has a different food‑inspired theme — there’s no set book, just plenty of opportunity to chat about what you’ve been reading with like‑minded people.

We’ll meet in the library to start with, and later branch out to food‑ and growing‑related locations around Hexham. Expect good conversation, friendly company… and of course, good snacks.

Bring along any books you would like to share, or at least enough details to identify them by – there are no resrictions and books can be fiction, non-fiction, instructional, poetry, Manga, graphic novels or audio books. Don’t have a book to share? – please still come! – hopefully we can inspire you with a tempting takeaway.

Sessions are FREE to attend and open to all. Through The Leaves is funded by Stories From Out Patch as part of The Europe Challenge for an intial period of 6 months.
